How the LifeNet™ Card Works
The LifeNet Card™ is a Wallet Flash Card, the size of a credit card, with a reversible USB 2.0 Connector. This card has a storage capacity of up to 500 digitized pages of information if needed. The connector is designed to fit any computer USB port, even upside down.
The data is stored in industry standard HTML and PDF files, and should be viewable on any computer. A Microsoft Windows based computer operating systems will pop-up the information automatically (if enabled) and is required to access the encrypted portion of the card.
The Information to be stored on the LifeNet™ Card
Through the completion of individual forms your information will be stored on your LifeNet Card™. You have the ability to customize your card by only entering the data you wish to have stored. The LifeNet Card™ is divided into the following three sections for convenience, organization, and security.
Section One:
Personal Medical Data Needed in the Event of an Emergency
Your most critical emergency information is pulled and stored in this section so that First Responders will have immediate access and be able to make the best treatment decisions possible. This section includes but is not limited to, medication currently being taken, blood type, emergency contacts, and any special needs and/or chronic health issues.
Section Two:
Historical Personal Medical Data Necessary for Hospital and Doctor Visits
This section of the LifeNet Card™ stores a complete medical history including previous interaction with hospitals and doctors. Section 2 can also be used to keep a record of your health insurance information and a detailed list of emergency contacts. More extensive medical information that is digitized, such as X-Rays, MRIs, and CT Scans would also be stored in this section.
Section Three:
Password Protected/Encrypted File
The third section of the LifeNet Card™ allows you to organize your life by documenting financial and legal contacts, additional insurance, and funeral instructions. You may also store copies of all important documents and list the location of the originals for future reference. This section can only be accessed with a personal password. You may designate additional individuals to have access and choose to maintain a duplicate card if you wish.
